Decompression Therapy

A highly successful, non-surgical solution for treatment of debilitating lower back, neck and radiating arm or leg pain is disc decompression therapy. If you are one of the many people who suffer from neck or lower back pain, you know how disruptive it can be to your lifestyle. The aching, burning, shooting pain and muscle spasms make the simplest movements a demanding task and finding a comfortable position nearly impossible.

Traditional treatment has generally consisted of medications and usually end with the prospect of surgery, a painful, expensive and frightening experience. Treatments such as epidural injections, hot and cold packs, acupuncture, massage and other therapies may offer limited, if any, relief. Research has shown decompression therapy to be extremely effective (upwards of 80%) in treating neck and lower back pain and intervertebral disc problems.

The Posture Pump utilizes Expanding Ellipsoidal Decompression technology to decompress and rehydrate damaged discs while aligning your vertebrae back to their natural spinal curvatures. Restoring these curvatures is essential because without them, excessive stress is shifted from the spine to your discs, muscles, ligaments and tendons resulting in altered spinal biomechanics, which can lead to pain and accelerated degenerative processes.

When the spine is restored to its natural curvatures, it helps reduce bulging and herniated discs, relieve pressure on the spinal cord and spinal nerves as well as improve disc blood flow, nutrient exchange and waste product removal, all of which accelerate the healing process.

The Posture Pump has shown to be extremely effective in relieving pain associated with herniated or bulging discs, degenerative discs from arthritis, frequent headaches as well as neck and back pain and stiffness resulting from activities that require long periods of sitting (a desk job, working at a computer, driving, etc) or standing.

Decompression therapy accelerates the healing process and can deliver quick and effective pain relief that enables most patients to return to a more active lifestyle! It is an FDA-approved procedure that is covered by most insurances and Workers Comp and Personal Injury laws. Someone who has previously not found relief through other therapies is a perfect candiate for this treament.

Clinical findings suggest that patients will experience a relatively quick initial response to treatment in terms of pain relief from decompression therapy. Patients often notice a significant reduction in pain and symptoms in as few as 6 to 10 treatments. Treatment sessions usually take only 15 minutes.

If you suffer from neck or lower back pain and stiffness or frequent headaches, or know someone who does, you owe it to yourself to call our office to see if decompression therapy is for you!
